GENEALOGY RESOURCES

The Littleport Society
have a Family Tree database held on our computer, which now has over one hundred thousand names. These include descendants of Littleport families in the U.S.A., Canada and Australia - and more are continually being entered.  There are records in our archives that are not available elsewhere.  A list, by family name, of the resources we hold is available by clicking on the following link:

The key feature of the database is the indexing software we have produced to show for each entry the name and birthdate as well as a "Tree identifier" in order to find links between different family trees.  A complete list of our resources, which are available for searching, can be found by clicking on the following link:

Enquiries for family history data held by The Littleport Society can be requested by making use of the following form:

We are always interested in collecting family trees of all Littleport Families to add to our database and would be delighted to exchange information with anyone who is interested in families from our fenland town.

Cambridgeshire Family History Society

Cambridgeshire County Council’s Registration section has been indexing all of the Birth, Marriage and Death records for the whole of the County.   The project is ongoing and is being undertaken by volunteer members of the Cambridgeshire Family History Society.  The entries have been taken from the original registers from 1837 that covered all of the towns and villages around Ely including, of course, Littleport.

All of the indexes are available for searching on the internet by clicking on the following link:

A full birth, marriage or death certificate can then be applied for on-line and the results are usually returned within 48 hours.
