2x hardback Victorian era bibles in a worn condition, contained within a wooden and hinged box frame containing;
  • 1x New Testament bible noted as having been owned by John Barritt, dated 31st March 1868 and was printed by Oxford University Press.
  • 1x Holy Bible is noted as having been owned by Mary Gill (née Barritt) and is dated 1876, and published by Cambridge University Press. Inside, it includes the dates and names of her family with husband William Gill.
Inside each respective bible is a modern printed copy of photographs of each book's owner.
