Description

This book details the bravery of all those of Littleport who died whilst serving in the First World War.

Initiated by Ron Bidwell, and compiled from years of research, and a long list of contributors including Mac McGowen and our archivist Ray Youngs, this book details each person listed on Littleport’s War Memorial to those in WWI, alphabetical – from Private Harold Bacon of New Road, Littleport who died in August 1916, through to Private William Youngs of Black Lake, Littleport who was killed in May 1915.

Each entry includes a biography, and a photograph of either the soldier or their grave (often both).

The proceeds of this book will be donated to Help For Heroes – the UK Armed Forces and military veterans charity.
